I for one know you have been doing that Judy & have been trying to help you as much as I can with replies, invites, and a post as much as I can. I hope that the rest of our members feel the way that we do and start contributing more. How can we honestly invite new members in here by saying we are a friendly & caring group if there is no evidence of it except from the management and a few others? We have about 150 members and only about a dozen post on a regular basis. So I am with Judy when I say the fate of our group rests in the hands of you our members.

Morning ladies...I'm sorry to know you feel saddened by the lack of participation here in the diner. I have just been reading past messages to get *caught up* and to sort of get a feel for whats been bounced around here. I have noticed how much time both of you generous gals have spent here, and am in awe! I am semi-retired and do a bit of computer work at home, so I have more time to invest chatting. But perhaps others don't. Do you know, per say, how many of your members that are full time workers or fully retired or just guests every now and again? In other words, don't take it personally, perhaps you are spending way tooooo much time on here alone, while others are just busy with life? Just some thoughts....its snowing and very windy here so I'm indoors for the day that's for sure!! :) Hope I'm not speaking out of turn......thoughts?

that is why I put this announcement on,and you obviously missed the reply in one of the posts(the homeless) where I stated that I would be going back to work,hopefully.
I would say that the majority of the members don't work......but I know some do and actually the ones that do work are some of our more active members.
So,there you go girl.....

I get here when I can, you know I'm managing two groups of my own, and I mod in another, and I work too much,lol ! But hey, it's all good !

I never knew I could join in the welcome of new members. I thought just the leaders of the group.
I look in and read the posts sometimes 4 or 5 times a day in the diner. the diner home page is on my screen as much as my home page. I'll try to jump in more if you want me to when I can.

yes,that's the way this will be,and many posts do get pushed back before members get a chance to get in on them......

Look what I started! (Ha-Ha) I know exactly how storm and other group managers feel. It's not just with this group but many. We bust out knuckles to make a group successful and fun for our members, and we find ourselves trap in a go no-where routine because we don't want to let our members down. My case is somewhat different because I manage a Christian group. I do what I do for the members, but in all honesty, I do it for the love of God! It doesn't matter if anyone contributes or not. It's my call and my calling so to speak.

Yes, many people work, others are trying to accomplish exactly what storm is striving for. We can all have reasons, and even make excuses, but if you love your manager, the members and the group as a whole, then you have to work together. Simple as that! Sorry to sound off, but if she's taking my advice, then I should come forward in her defense. If you want the group to survive then help out when you can. That's all she's asking for..Just a little help!

If she didn't care about all of you, then she would have called it quits long ago! I think it's time she takes a break and enjoy her life, not just spin her wheels if others don't care one way or the other!
