People who think they can speak for me.

On FACE the Nation this morning Senator MCConnell stated several times that the American people do not want the health care bill to pass. He went on to say the American people do not want Single Payer.

I AM AN AMERICAN! I WANT SINGLE PAYER!

If we cannot get single payer I want some kind of health care bill that will make things better.
I am not the only American who feels this way. The majority of doctors in this country admit we need change and a large percentage of them want single payer. It will make thier jobs much easier. The people who stand on the street corners with me carrying signs supporting health care change want single payer or at minimum the public option bill passed by the house.
Go to www.healthcare-now.org to see lists of large groups of people who support SINGLE PAYER.
Senator McConnell, I am pissed off at you smug assertion that you know what the American people want. We a a very diverse group and you have no right to lump us all under one opinion.

I am not for the health care plan, sorry but I have worked my whole life and I have paid for my families health insurance.

I was in the medical field 20 years ago when the government subsided the hospitals and the insurance companies. Then the HMO's came in and the government backed out. In my opinion subsidizing is all that is needed from the government, not complete control over the whole system.

When the hospitals got too many patients to stay in the black, the government gave them the extra. The government didn't tell them how to spend it or who could have the care and who could not. It worked.

When the insurance companies got too many claims and were no longer in the black the government propped them up. Again the government did not come in and tell them what to do. Premiums were lower and affordable.

I'm sorry to disagree, but I was there and it worked. That is all the government intervention that is needed in the health care system from the government, in my opinion.

And what is your solution for those people who cannot afford health insurance? There are millions of Americans who cannot afford health insurance--

When a post starts naming politicians it's too political for this group. Discussing and arguing about healthcare is one thing, but there's a line here since this is not a political group, and I believe that this crosses it.
