I mean, I have a Power Bars recipe under breakfast stuff, so I was going to put the granola bars there too.

That's a tough one. Snack, bar cookie, breakfast? It could be all three. Maybe in the index you could have a "see also" or something like that.
Cookies
Bar Cookies pg. 95
Granola bars pg. 101
Breakfast
granola bars
see bar cookies pg. 101
Snacks
granola bars
see bar cookies pg. 101
That way you have it covered.
Put a copy under each of the headings and in your index, add a, b, c, and note the location.
When I am bookmarking recipes, I will bookmark them more than once if it fits. For instance, I may put the recipe in pasta and chicken both, if it contains both.
You can put your recipes wherever you think you will find them, as many times as necessary. If you are printing out recipes, just print out another copy and file it where appropriate.
If you look in a cookbook index, it will list a recipe in several places sometimes. You can do that, too.
I actually keep all my granola recipes in the breakfast category. But I also have a specialty gift food section that I keep them in.
Thanks, everyone for your ideas! I'm giving copies to my sons, and I don't want them to get confused.

I would file granola bars under SNACKS!
You can go to WOMAN's DAy.com and they have a site where you can post all your fav recipes and make a cookbook. They charge like $10.95 for the making of it and shipping. This makes a wonderful gift for people. WOMANS DAY has lots of wonderful recipes. I saw this in a magazine and I am thinking of checking it out for next year.
Wow, that sounds great! I have over 100 pages, though,...
