Does your car have a sunroof/roof hatch? The seals on these are'nt designed to seal tight but to limit the leakage around them to a limit the amount leaked to what drainage channels can redirect through the four outlets. If the drains get stopped up from leaves, dirt etc, they can overflow. These channels also aren't very deep and if the attitude of the vehicle is up or downhill, it can severely effect the long cross channel that runs across the vehicle at the back edge of the opening as this one is not only shallow but curved to follow the curvature of the roofline and the most susceptable to causing problems. Hope this helps.
