Fringe

I just joined here and maybe this topic has been covered already - but does anyone know the meaning of the images which appear when Fringe goes to commercials (fetuses in the seeds of an apple, a frog wth a Greek letter on its back, etc.) I consider Fringe the X-Files of the 2000s!

Over the last couple of weeks while we were in KC, I had seen Fringe for the first time and saw the apple seeds for the first time as well.

I have read a bit about the series along with the idea of the Alternative Universe/Multi-Dimensions theme running as well in there (sorry was never a fan of the X-Files), that it could very well come to mean the blending of that alternative universe with the known universe. But that is my thoughts on what it may mean.

I'm behind in my Fringe watching. Didn't know when the new season started and what day it changed to so now I'll have to catch up online. I recorded the last three episodes but don't want to watch until I catch up. I wondered about those symbols myself. Do you think this season is as good as the last?

I know my wife is not quite as impressed with this season as she was with last season. I was never a fan of the series, probably because it was on Fox. In my mind the only thing Fox had worth seeing was the football games and that is sad on my part because I had stopped watching Pro Football years and years ago.
