That's the one....A Christmas Story is my favorite, I think because the era depicted brings back memories of my own childhood. Once we made a trip to Akron for the Santa Claus experience--I think it was Higbees dept store--and all the store windows had animated scenes. It was my first time on an escalator.

I saw Peter what's-his-name, the star of A Christmas Story, on TV talking about the tongue scene. The tongue wasn't really stuck, but it was an emotional scene for the actors. When I was teaching, the school nurse said kindergartners are the ones to get their tongues stuck.
