Aya's bike quilt
I have very close friends, David and Heidi, who recently had their first little person, Aya. When they told me they were going to have a baby I started planning their quilt, and knew it had to have bikes. They are an awesome young couple who are unbelievable bikers. They took their Tandem and rode across part of Europe and Australia a few years ago posting their ride for us all to read....it was like being there. And, you should see David on an off-road unicycle! It is a site to be seen. Anyway, thought I would share their quilt with you.

When I go places the first thing I do is check out the quilt shops and bikes shops, not necessarily in that order. I found the little bike material in Cottonwood, Arizona. There is also a bike shop there called Zoomers Bike and Gear that is pretty nifty. Drew the bike from the material and embroidered it on the big blocks. They are all girl's bikes, except one, that's for David.
Its been cold here for us. But the worst has been the wind, 20 sustained with 35-40 mph gusts! It was a good time to stay in and do some handwork, with bikes involved of course.
Oh, and that's Maxwell. He lets us and the dogs live with him.
