Percy Jackson and the Olympians

I finally got around to reading the first Percy Jackson book. (I was under pressure: I'm running a Percy Jackson party at the library in February.) I enjoyed it. I'm delighted that a book based on Greek mythology is so popular. The party should be fun. Lots of games come to mind, and, of course, we'll drink nectar and eat ambrosia.

Ellen that sounds like fun and a great idea! I will have to share with my librarian about doing something similar.

Eric loved this series! It got him interested in reading some other mythology books. Love it when a book spurs interest in reading more.

Right now he has started Peter and the Starcatchers. I got him the first 3 books and he was excited but lost some enthusiasm when he read that it was about Peter Pan. I'm hoping that he'll continue reading and not give up cuz it has a 'little kid's' character in it, LOL.

Nectar and Ambrosia.... yummmmmm.
