Actually, I was orginally a trained/licensed mechanic.. ok, back in the old-d-d days 70's & 80's. I still maintain my own vehicle.

Actually I worked on my own car and was a warranty administrator for a GM dealer for over 12 years. I didn't actually work on the cars but I did have to maintain the warranty parts bins. Told the service manager I needed a uniform to wear wher I scrapped parts after getting transmission fluid on one of my blouses. Why would anyone try to work on a car wearing white?
