Don't hold anything back there cclyda(lol).....I am in agreement--how dare the rich and we-to-do tell us commoners to keep stiff upper lips....they've no idea how it is to worry about how the mortgage/rent will get paid next month-or where the money for dinner tonight will come from...
So, Governator - does that mean you are from California. I just saw, on Fox, that California has eliminated some classifcations of subsidized Mammograms. Sounds like someone is jumping on to that Task Force suggestions to cut back on Mammos to balance their budgets. I wonder how many of these women will die because of this move.
Speaking of rich guys, I wonder how much Arrrnold got for using his computerized image in the new Terminator film.
I live in San Diego and what pisses me off are the cuts in the police department and firemen and I hear nothing of mayors or city council members getting their saleries cut...

We voters need to get a bill on the ballot to cut the salaries of elected officials by 25%, and to freeze all salary increases and/or bonuses for the next two years, or until unemployment is below 4%.
When I lived in Seattle, a guy started a movement to lower auto license plates. At the time I had a Ford Explorer and a Chrysler; my combined cost of plates PER YEAR was over $1300. When this guy succeeded in a petition drive to get a drastic reduction of this tax on the ballot, taking out all the non-road taxes, and that initiative made the ballot and passed, my plates went down to under $400.
Next he attacked property taxes, and mine went down another 40%. One person can get the ball rolling, just one.
By cutting their salaries by 25% they are still way overpaid for what they don't do! They should do the job by volunteering and only when they reign in the spending should the taxpayers vote for them to get a raise or not.

I never heard of any politician ever leaving office going on welfare or getting in line at the unemployment office, for some reason they always seem to be wealthy........

Hell...if the politicians and all elected officials...the prez included...would just ...have to pay into SS like the rest of us....that would be a gigantic improvement...
I do agree with Michibilly....something CAN be done....so why don't we do it? Instead of just talking about it? We need to get up off our 'good intentions' and JUST DO IT.
And....the reason those 'rich governators' do what they do....is BECAUSE THEY CAN. And they will continue to do and say whatever they want to. I wouldn't wish anyone to 'die and go to hell'....but I do think that all of them should have to work in a homeless shelter for a week.....and plan the budget for a large family...that wonders where their next meal is coming from...
