Well, there's that motherless kid I know, whose mother died from a tattoo infection. And the Blood Bank won't accept your blood if you've had a tattoo recently. What's up with that? And I don't know about you, but my tastes change over the years. That butterfly or snake just won't look the same to me in 20 years.
My grandson had tatoos just above his wrist...when he wanted to enlist in the Air Force , following his dad's footsteps, they refused because his tatoos would show. Valley is right...feelings change over time....I've seen ladies cover theirs with bandaids or tape...especially when working with children!!
The chance of infection is the greatest. I have taken care of people with aids and hepatitis C that came from a dirty needle in a tatoo parlor. The nitemares are endless. Besides it hurts to get punctured by a needle.
I can't think of any good reason's not to get tatt's, either you're into it, or you're not. It's not for everyone !
It's a personal choice and there's always the possibility of infection, not only with tatt's, but any type of body piercing. I admit I have tatt's. Mostly Christian related and I won't ever feel shame, or think I made the wrong choice in selection. Never experienced pain, but that depends on where you place them.
My son-in-law has done a lot of my tatt's, and he's very sterile in all that he does.
