Thought I'd drop by and say hello. Things aren't going well for my granddaughter. She's had 2 additional surgeries since the first one. She's still in so much pain. During the first surgery, the doctor nicked a blood vessel and didn't know it until the second MRI. The blood pooled under her calf and congealed. She could have gotten a clot if it wasn't spotted. And she still has the infection. The right leg healed nicely, but the left is just a mess. There was a period where we didn't know if she'd lose the leg or her life. It's all still up in the air right now. We have to wait and see. Another MRI tomorrow.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi. Maria, congrats on the column. I'll read it soon, promise. Ravenhall, love the new pic. And I love the fact that I can say I know someone who has the leg lamp from A Christmas Story. And thank you to Andiamo, Deb and everyone else for keeping this group going. I'll drop by again when I can.

Val, my best wishes to your little granddaughter! I had no idea there was still a problem.

Hang in. My daughter almost died of aninfection in her arm a couple of years ago. There is no relief for the family until the infection GOES AWAY. I know how you are feeling. It is very painful.

Val, I'll keep your granddaughter and the entire family in my prayers. If she's anything like her Grandmother, she's strong and will come through this.

Val, Sorry to learn about your grandaughter. I come from a long line of Italian atheists so I can't offer prayers, but let's hope for the best.

Oh {{{{Val}}}}. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family. I am praying hard for your granddaughter to come through this in perfect condition. What is her name, so I can get specific with the big guy upstairs?
This sure puts all the stress of holiday shopping in it's rightful compartment, not important at a time like this. I'll be wishing for a Christmas miracle for your granddaughter and you. Stay strong and if you need anything, let us know.
