NEW DISCOVERY OF OLD BUYS

In regard to saving money with purchases. What are those things that you still buy because they have remained a "good buy" over the years???

AND what are those items which everyone else seems to have discovered and have gone up in price.??

I still buy glycerin for hand lotion and hand repair. Less than two years, and forever before that, it sold for under a dollar. Now it sells for just under three dollars. Same size, same no name label. It is an ingredient found in makeup and in some hand lotions, like corn huskers, and is the ingredient that makes it work well just no perfume or fancy stuff.

I use 20 Mule Team Borax as a laundry booster. It is inexpensive and it is easy on the fabrics - makes the detergent go farther.

I also started using white vinegar, fabric softener and water (hint I found here) to extend the fabric softener. That is really better for towels, etc.
