I smoked a joint the night before I took my test the next morning. I wasn't concerned. They are VERY strict at the company Compuware. I went to GNC a day or 2 before and bought a 'cleanout kit'. I can't remember who made it. It came with about a dozen pills/capsules. My test time was 11AM so I started about 9 (it takes about 2 hours total). You wash down the pills with a glass of water in the order and time they tell you. They have you drink 1 gallon of water in 2 hours. After the 1st 1/2 hour have a bathroom nearby. You drink a glass of water about every 10 minutes, the pills are gone after the first hour or so but you still keep drinking the water.
You pee - ALOT. Probably more than you ever had in your life. After the first hour or so it's coming out as clear as the water you drank.
The testing site was about 8 miles away so I had my brother drive in case I needed to fill up a bottle (bring one just in case). Fortunately I didn't have to use mine. There was a Cadillac dealer about 1/2mile from my destination. I made my bother pull in there and relieved myself on a Caddy. A minute later and we were at the testing facility. The office was down in the basement of the building. Good thing they had a restroom right next to the door going in because I needed to use it, after all it was 4 or 5 minutes since I last went. Even though my test was only a few minutes later, I had no problem filling the cup up - and then some.
After I left I hat the bathroom once again on the way out, I wanted to make it all the way home before needing to do it again. We made it, barely - I ran for the bathroom. I probably went 25 or 30 times total, but I only had to do it once.
A few days later the called from Compuware and said I passed with flying colors. So for about $25 and lots of grief, I got the job. I'm pretty sure a lot had to do with drinking a gallon of water in 2 hours.
Two days is a long time to start. A few hours seemed more appropriate.

High Ken! Here's a link to the Maximum Strength Ultimate Gold drink/cleanser that I've heard works well, especially if time's in short supply til your test. And, yes, I agree AS LONG AS YOU CAN PERFORM YOUR JOB, competently, and without mishap, it should be NOBODY'S concern what you do outside of the workplace!

1 last thing about testing "clean" -- since THC stores itself in your fat cells, DON'T DIET, DON'T EXERCISE, and DRINK TONS OF LIQUIDS (avoid alcohol or DIET sodas). You want those THC markers to "stay put," so give your body OTHER resources to draw on for energy by eating LOTS of SIMPLE carbohydrates -- be a junk-food junkie, eat Twinkies, donuts, and swig it all down with lots of sugary soda, while maintaining that prone position on the sofa.
