Always a KLUTZ

They said it was going to snow here in Houston on Friday, and the temp was going down to 25 degrees. Originally, I didn't believe the forecast, so I didn't cover my plants - until I realized the forecast was correct! So I hurried up and got all my plant covers out and covered my plants in the rain and snow - 6 of those covers in all for the front and back of my townhome. One of the friggin’ plants decided to stab me in my eye when I was trying to get the cover over all the plants. Here’s the picture story. I just hope my eye stops hurting and making me feel nauseous.

See first reply.

No Harley, none of them look like this, although my eye would probably feel much better if one of those plants had stuck me in the eye; but, alas, I think they're too soft to puncture my eye like that one did.

I DO have a funny story about marijuana plants, though. Waaaaay back in the 70's, when we were living in Canada, my former husband's teenage son came to stay with us one summer, and he brought marijuana seeds to plant in the yard. The plants didn't grow well up there, so they stayed small. When he left, I decided to bring one of the plants in the house and put it in a clay pot since I liked the way it looked. Then when we were moving back to the states, I knew I might have a problem if I tried to take that plant across the border! So when I had one of my many garage sales, I put that plant out to sell it. Of course one young couple recognized what it was right away, and asked me how much I wanted for it. I told them I would sell it for the price of the pot, which was $3.00. They cracked up - and then I realized what I had said! Of course they bought it for that price.

My eye was pretty bad yesterday, but it seems to be doing better today. If it doesn't continue to get better real fast, I'll call my doc.
