Phone Numbers and trying to remember them
Ah ha, it isn't just me. Finally I've come up on a story that explains why I can't remember the 10 diget phone numbers.
I used to have no problem at all remembering the 7 diget ones before we had to include the area code.
It makes intuitive sense: as a mental list gets longer, people are more likely to make mistakes or forget items altogether. Check out the story: view link
