A Time For Reflection

Hello Friends!

Well, 2007 is just around the corner! Looking at this from a spiritual perspective it is a great time to begin getting rid of those old things, ideas, etc. that no longer work and allowing the rebirth of new possibilities that can broaden our horizons and touch the lives of others in positive and loving ways. We only need to allow ourselves to hear that small still voice within.

If I may, I would like to share with you a beautiful little movie by Mary Robinson Reynolds? I have watched it a number of times and find it to be beautiful and relaxing.

That was a beautiful movie! Thank you! You're so thoughtful to share it here.

I'm new to this site; this morning I received an email that overviews the messages on the Spiritual Adult board. The first one was "I am Leaving the site". After skimming the posts, I felt sad for all involved. The written word can all too often be misunderstood. We must be kind to each other. Behind a keyboard, none of us knows the real pain of one another on this board. Life is hard. Each of us struggle in our own ways, and each of us deserve respect and kindness.

I hope everyone will watch this movie. Maybe it will bring some resolve.

I need to make some enormous changes surrounding my family. I want to reach out and am hoping I can do this here. At age 55 I still carry a tremendous amount of shame from the years of my childhood. I've come to realize they've affected me my entire life, in all my relationships, my jobs, my very being. My parents are both getting older and I don't want to hurt them. I'm at a loss as to how to resolve this, it's as if I've worn the same costume for 55 years and can't get it off... I need help with it. There are so many wise and kind people here. I am trusting my intuition!

Dear Bobbijo, First of all welcome, and I did view the link, and enjoyed viewing the site. Thanks for the sharing!

I also do a lot of reflecting, reorganizing the mind, and cleaning out, the old, and adding new ideas. Many do this at the end of the year, I try to do this on a daily basis, and find it truly is a great tool. And gotta love that still small voice, what a gift.

And GZPZ, Welcome to you also, and this IS an awesome group! I have grown a lot from this site, because it drives me to research topics, I love that extra adrenalin rush I get! LOL

GZ, you need to forgive yourself and everything will fall into place. There are many paths we take. What is in the past, you need to learn from and let go. Learn to release. I hope you find your answers among us!

Hello, I'm also a new member as of yesterday. The movie was very nice. I'm not quite sure what I am searching for other than something to help with the realness of widowhood. I'm not sure why but, this is the 4th Christmas and it has been the most difficult. From what I've read so far on this site, there are a lot of caring and informative subscribers. It seems like a soft place to land and maybe learn. My best wishes to all for 2007.
