Been ..................
a while since I visited. Hope everyone is fine. When I was last here there was a vote as to what books would be read and plans for a discussion meet and greet.
Since then I have read Pete Hamill's "My Downtown". It is an excellent book about the history of lower Manhattan as he discovers it during his younger life. He writes as if he is in a bar and you are conversing with him. I am now reading "The Best and The Brightest" by David Halberstam. Give it a try also. The similarities to this year and pre and post Vietnam are eerie. The games the generals play to get their way and play with their new "toys".
Well, that's my latest contribution. Relax all, reading is fun.
