yes I have and became an advocte for them
A long time ago - it was junior high school - some kids were picking on a girl who was slower than most of us - the bus driver was ignoring the whole thing. I got mad, went to the back of the bus, and knocked some kids around and yelled at them to shut up. Then, I invited the girl up to where I was sitting - she sat there in my section the rest of the school year. Nobody ever said one word to her again or picked on her. I never saw her again after that year. Guess I thought I was fearless or something - the kids picking on her were in high school and I was in the 5th grade. It made me feel good about myself, too.

Yes, the most recent time was at work, I went over, linked arms with the bullied person and said, "Let's have a coffee break!" We then walked away.
I have many times, the last time in the parking lot of WalMart in Kennett,Mo.
3 women were giving this one little young lady hell for pulling in front of them accidently or something.
The were big black women and yes I think it was racially motivated.
Anyway,My 'ex' and I walked over and started to get those bullies to leave her alone,it didn't take long, either!
Well,I saw on tv the other night about this black lady causing a racial ruckus at the same WalMart in Kennett,Mo. (and this was on the National news!),by butting in line......she resisted arrest after causing a big scene, she finally pled guilty.
but I couldn't help but wonder if she was one of those mean women that one day in the parking lot!

I was at a friend's house once just visiting when her husband (she has since divorced him, THANK GOD!) began to berate her and call her stupid.
I told him that if anyone in that house was stupid it was HIM, and dared him to contradict me... He backed down, QUICK!... But, then again, he knew me well enough to know that I wouldn't!... LOL... :0)
