i would like to be remembered for being a good dad
a very good male friend of me asked me the same question
and I think this suits me ( especially my blessings ) and I am comfortable with this:
I am a magnificent, healthy, loving, caring being,
and I give thanks for all that I have and all that I will be.
I am thankful for my blessings. I focus on the good things in my life,
giving them power to expand and multiply.
I am profoundly grateful for my own unique and incredible life.
Love it. God knows I try.
I would like to be remembered as an author. I would like to be able to say my writings made a difference to someone, somewhere...
Quite honestly, my legacy won't amount to much and I'll be forgotten rather quickly. That's the way of the world, and I'm okay with it.
Just maybe, though, someone on down the road might chance upon something I've written and say, Hot almighty gosh. Read this, people. We shoulda had a parade for this dude.
It could happen.
I just want to be remembered by my children and spouse as a good mother and wife.
I have never thought much about the word "legacy" in connection with myself. Guess I just want to be remembered as a good mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Oh - I did start some customs in connection with Christmas that my family - even those in Ohio - still observe. So I guess that's a kind of a legacy.

"POCO"
For many years I wanted to be remembered as a woman. Then I resigned myself
to being remembered as a man.
I got to write the epitaph for my WOSC protagonist, as follows:
"I would like another cigarette,
but I am unable to breathe."
