Thirty Reindeer in my front yard!

I'm still in the DFW metroplex, but my husband was at our new home outside of Austin. Yesterday he called to say that there were at least 30 reindeer in our new front yard. REINDEER? How the hell did a herd of reindeer show up anywhere in TX?

Evidently there is a wild animal reserve nearby and one of the fences fell down due to wind and rain.

Dear Lord,

Please protect me from snakes, ostriches, and maybe reindeer.

We have a reindeer ranch in Central Oregon.

They don't bite. Ostriches do...

Reindeer, huh? I am so used to seeing wild animals that I don't flinch anymore; I just know to drive slower when I get to a certain area. The largest wild animal preserve in my area of NY starts about 1/2 mile from my house.
