What's For Christmas Dinner?

I'll be over at my sister's and we usually have a baked ham and fixings for Christmas Eve dinner and then we have lasagne for Christmas dinner.
What is on the menu at your house?

Hey, we're still digesting Thanksgiving! I still have some turkey in the freezer, cut up and ready to go!
Our big feast is the traditional Italian Christmas Eve seafood and fish dinner. Christmas day is a whatever, relaxing time... lots of cookies and leftover antipasto!

I haven't even focused on it yet. Too much to do beforehand...

Good to see someone else having lasagna other than me. That's my meal of choice with the ham as well. And Christmas will be here before you know it. Kat

The standard Christmas dinner at the Andiamo house, except my daughter wants to have it at her first house. We'll start with an olive tray with cheese and Italian cold cuts. Prime rib, ravioli with meatballs and sausage, garlic, basil and Parmesan mashed potatoes, fried cauliflower, brussel sprouts & caramelized onions with a balsamic reduction sauce, fennel and Mandarin orange salad, blue cheese wedge salad, dates and figs stuffed with Gorgonzola cheese and wrapped in prosciutto and what ever the kids being or make for dessert.
This is a first for us, we NEVER had it anywhere but our house. I guess the good news is the clean up will be easier. I still get to do all the fish Christmas Eve though...at OUR house.

Holy crap! That's a massive amount of unfamiliar foods there, Andiamo. But I'm all over that Prime Rib and Raviolis.

Gotta have lobster, slaw, and whatever else turns you on.

Mmmm, I've only had lobster 3 or 4 times in my life, and I liked it a lot.

Our main course is always prime rib (which we bring) and stuffed shells that my daughter makes. Then there's the variety of hor'dourves (sp?), Italian cookie trays, and antipastas. Deserts always include eclairs, cannoli and cheesecake.

Andiamo, we turned dinner over to our daughter about 12 years ago. And it's great. No big clean ups. When her daughter was born, it made sense to go to them. That way they didn't have to go to our house and her in-law's and cart the gifts, the baby and baby supplies to and from everyone's homes. Same thing began when we had our first child. Everything was then at our home.

It's changed over the years. For a while it was the repeat Thanksgiving dinner, then it was prime rib, then lasagna, now it's filet mignon and crab cakes...not sure what I'm making with it yet.
