8 Degrees....

Nope, not talking about 8 Degrees of Separation, LOL, but 8 degrees as in "baby, it's cold outside!" Holy cow! And I saw that Dallas was getting snow, yesterday, even though Cory said it wasn't sticking....

I'm going to send Anne Tyler a Christmas card today, telling her how much I'm looking forward to her new book and recommending Louise Penny to her, in case she hasn't discovered her. LOL, sounds kind of goofy, but I don't think she'll be insulted.

Breathless arrived and is sitting on my nightstand to be started after I finish Still Life.

bopeep, how's the visit going?

Stay warm, well, I guess I should say 'comfy" today, and hope you're all decorated for the holidays.

8 degrees!!! Oh goodness, that is just way too cold for me. I got my tree up but not the wreaths on the door yet.

8 DEGREES!!! Now that's COLD.!! It's getting cold here in Georgia, but nothing like that. Of course, what I call Winter has only just begin here. It's only going to be about 49 degrees for the high, but I have to go out in it, so not a pleasant thought. As for Christmas tree and decorations, haven't even started yet. Just got my christmas cards written and ready to post to England, which always takes time as I have to write notes in all of them seeing as this is just once a year keep in touch kind of thing. Hopefully, later this week I can catch up. Almost finished with "Olive Kittiridge" which I have liked very much. Then I will pck from my pile what's next. So many good books to read.!!
By the way, I bought a Crosse & Blackwell's" christmas pudding yesterday. Not cheap, but heck, it's just once a year. : ))

Saw on tv awhile ago that we should get down BELOW ZERO tonight.... gonna have to put on another blanket and stay close to the fur kids!

BRRRRRRRRRR! 8 degrees is too cold for me. It's about 40 degrees herre today, and I am already dreading the cold and snow. I think I'm going to look into a long-term rental in Florida ):

Got back home on Monday & now I'm trying to get the decorations up, baking done, & cleaning. I volunteered to have our annual Girly Girls brunch up here. Sounded like a good idea at the time - having 6 women up after being gone for 10 days. Jeez...oh well, they're good friends & I'm making them leave their glasses at the door!

we got a teeny bit of snow here in Dallas. It only stuck till about 10:00 AM and then it was gone. Maybe get some more on Friday. It is cold here, but nowhere near your 8 degrees barb.

Brrrrrrrrr..... that's too cold for me! Here in Michigan its supposed to be upper 20's to around 30 today, with more snow. That's cold enough for me - Do I hear Florida, anyone???? With the cold and snow, it's another good day to wrap up in a blanket and read a book, which is exactly what I will be doing later today.
