It seems like there is or is not climate change depending on who one listens to. That is, of course, selective. So we still don't know if it is or is not real and what to do about it either way. Frankly I don't care if it is or is not real it makes sense to me to go with renewable, sustainable, local sources of energy rather than filthy, limited, bought from countries that hate us kind of energy.
I happen to believe that climate is cyclical and not based on ozone and chemical changes afterall we had an ice age prior to people using hair spray or other aerosol sprays and other contaminents. I'm also NOT an Al Gore follower...haha!
Gee...if global warming isn't real, will Al Gore have to send refunds for all those 'carbon credits'?

Not really, climate always changes. The big question is if the current changes are our fault, ie, if they are human activity, or the regular or not so regular cyclical variation.
I also question whether the changes are necessarily a bad thing. What if we are at the beginning of a new ice age? Then we would welcome as much global warming as we can get, wouldn't we?
But again, the point of this thread was the coprrupt academics (that are sure not worthy of their titles!) at that obscure UK university (East Anglia) that unscrupulously destroyed and/or manipulated the data to fit their biases and co nform with current PC Global Warming orthodoxy.
The whole thing is utterly sickening, and it remidns me back when ecverybody believed that the Earth is still and the sun moves around it, except for ONE guy, Galileo, who was the only person who ended up being correct! Same thing now, the global warming believers are the majority of the scientists and if you disagree, you get no research funding or published, either of which can kill the career a young faculty or researcher.
THAT is the issue here, not whether clean energy is better than fossil fuels and all that irrelevant stuff.

Its Mother Nature doing her thing....Eggheads get all in a tizzy and start spewing numbers and data all over the place.....
None of it really matters as the Earth is and always has been in a constant state of flux...

When I heard about the cow fart tax - that was it for me. Also that people should not eat meat to cut down on global warming.
I think - a few years down the road - I won't live to see it - they are going to be laughing at all this foolishness. Thing is, Al Gore and others are making a lot of money off this stuff.
My daughter says - the universe is a scary, unpredictible place. Something could crash into our planet from outer space at any moment. The sun could explode and burn us up. Anyhow, she says that believing that man can control the universe is a kind of religion that makes some people feel better about the scary unpredictibility. AND, like with many religions in the past, those who do not believe are heretics who need to be silenced and punished.
Well...if the Earth is truly coming to an end...then..is there anything we can do about it?
If Earth blows up...we're all done...end of story.
All we can do...until such time..is..go 'GREEN'...do what we can to save our planet. The damage is already done...and if the end is truly coming...(2012?) then "Que sara..sara".
If not...then it's up to our succeeding generation...and theirs...to "GO GREEN". And I like what I'm seeing....my children are doing their part...and likewise...the grandchildren will too.
