Thank you for this beautiful post. I am a great admirer and student of the Native American Culture and Medicine. I had not seen this one. Much good can be learned from the Native American ways don't you think?

I had not read this one before and thankyou for sharing...

The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated...

EclecticSaggi, don't feel too badly. I, too, have had my wars with the ants, as they try to invade my space, and, at times, have killed my share. But, this, only after trying to communicate to them that I will not tolerate their presence within my space. We, the ants, and I, now share a truce, of sorts, and it works for us.
Try speaking to them, they do listen! Then, if this doesn't work, they leave you very little choice!

Believe me, FlyWacko, if the fish didn't understand, and agree to be caught, you'd never have caught one!!

Having been a Girl Scout from an early age - I usually don't kill animals in their are where they belong - and not invading my territory (body) exceptions are flies, mosquitos (which I usually can't see) - I have studied ants and bees and they are so smart - I leave them alone if they are not attacking me - because according to their culture, they are probably doing something constructive - like providing for family - have great respect for them - joydrew
