How old?

OMG.... something came to me over the weekend.... My wonderful father who I lost when I was 13 would be 102 years old if he were alive today!

Oh gosh.... you know you're getting old when "Dad" was born 102 years ago!

(PS... Mom's 89 and still with us.)

My dad was born in '17 --- that would make him 93, mom was seven years younger, so she would've been 86. They've both been gone for a long time.

If I live until I'm 93, my daughter will be 70! I'd love to see that!

My dad died last year at 84m Mom is alive and well at 82, Grandma's and other females of that generation have lived to 90 generally on their own until the last few months.

If I live to be 90 Natte will be 52. That's the jjoy of starting parenting late.

My mother passed two years ago at 96. She was born in 1910. I was always amazed by that date. I think I still am. She lived almost a century. What amazing things she must have seen in that time. When she was a young girl, she had 3 dresses. one for church, one for school and one for working the farm. I used to tease her when my father passed and the boys had left home and she had clothing in every closet of every bedroom of the house.

My parents were born in 1917 and 1915. We took my Dad to a farm show last yr and took his picture next to a tractor that was made the same year he was born! He likes to show it around and ask people what they think he and the tractor have in common. I was born when my mom was 42 and my sister, when she was 46. I wouldn't think of having a child at that age, but when you have all girls, I guess you just keep trying! lol

My dad was born in 1903 (died 1976) and my mother in 1913 (died 1996). They married in 1928. There was a 22 year span between me the youngest of the children and my oldest sister who died about 5 weeks ago. The only grand parent alive when I was born in 1952 was my father's father and he died in 1955 so I have no memory of grandparents to speak of although I know where his tombstone is but not any of the other grandparents. Oddly, his grave is alone in the cemetary on Marathon hill in the city of Marathon.

I never knew my grandparents. The last one left..died when I was 1. My father was born in 1911....died in 1985, mom born in 1917...died in 2001.
I remember always having the oldest parents of all my friends. I also remember announcing in my 6th grade class that it was my mothers birthday and she was a half a century old. Most of my classmated parents were in their early 30's.

I'm sorry for your loss Rubicon.
