What's the difference between AdvancedSystemCare and the AdvancedSystemCarePro (the site says the Pro is now free)?
It's free when you subscribe to one of their sponsers' offers I think.
Pro is not free. You get it without paying if you go through a group of stuff that costs money. If you sign up for a certain number of offers you won't have to pay for it, but you may find that you have payed more for the other stuff. I looked at a few of this type of "free" programs and decided I would never bother looking again.
I have the Pro version. They used to have a list showing the differences, but I don't see it now. The Pro version is worth the price they are charging.
I checked to make sure Security Defense was checked and it
was, so I ran a scan and it found 8799 problems! So I guess it
isn't working for me. I always have an awful lot of tracking cookies
picked up by AVG.

That doesn't mean it isn't working, Jody. You're always going to find problems when doing a scan with Advanced SystemCare. But the number should decrease. The point is, you're not going to find something harmful such as Spyware. I do a scan twice a day with Advanced SystemCare and find problems every time. But that just tells me that it's working. And tracking though annoying and somewhat an invasion of privacy, are for the most part harmless. Spyware isn't!
My question is, how often do you do a scan with Advanced SystemCare? If you don't do it everyday, the problems are just going to accumulate. I remember the first time I did a scan with Advanced SystemCare. I found over 24,000 problems and had to do two passes in order to fix all of the problems. So, the reason why it showed 8,799 problems might because you don't scan often enough.

Thank you for explaining it to me. I don't scan often enough,
but I'm going to try to do better. I'm relatively new to ASC,
and I use S & D, & Glary & Malwarebytes.

It seems that IOBIT is making some real kick-ass software these days, seawitch999. I have Auslogic Defrag as well. And, now I have SmartDefrag (recommend by OldGuy in another thread) which is also an IOBIT product! LOL
