Pretty tree..did one similar. I get my tree up when husband drags it out of the basement. we always had a live tree until about 4 years ago and found a nice artificial with lights on ale for 25 dollars. Husband keeps buying villages and he always does a table with a nice scene. When it gets done is up to him. I would have everthing up now if I could.
Nice tree, I love the colors.
Our tree is up & it's a sports fan tree. All Cardinals & Dallas Cowboys ornaments. Guess you can tell who we like. Plus we have ornaments for each pet we have except on our fish we have 1 large fish for all of them. We have collected special sports ornaments for the last 15 yrs so we have quite a collection and some exspensive ones.

My daughter put up our tree and got the lights on but that's as far as we got. We'll probably finish it soon. She does all white lights with mostly white and gold Victorian ornaments. She has a few red and purple ones and also uses candy canes for a little color.
When I was a kid we waited 'till a week before Christmas because we always had a short needle pine and with the dry heat of the coal furnace there would have been no needles left by Christmas had we put it up earlier.
My mom said they always went out and bought their tree on Christmas Eve when they used to reduce the price. Then the whole family decorated it together. She had four siblings. They including stringing popcorn and cranberries and that kind of stuff. They didn't have much money but they had a lot of fun. She also said when she was very small they had real candles on their tree(didn't have electricity) which their father lit only on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. She said it seemed like magic but that must have been pretty dangerous.

Have a safe trip Carl, and Happy Holidays to you and Jean.I only have a tiny little tabletop tree in my apartment, but my youngest daughter who lives next door to me has the room for a regular tree,so we will decorate that.It will probably go up around the middle of the month and stay until New Years.
