I think my time is worth something so baking costs more. BUT I do bake when I really care.
If it is something for a large gathering where no one really cares I buy.

I do my own baking...simply because I think it is better for you, taste much better and I get so much joy out of cooking or baking....tried buying things already baked, and so many times they turn out to not so good...a great waste of money !!!

I usually do not keep all the supplies required for baking so think buying is cheaper for me. I do bake at Christmas time but that is the only time of the year. I agree with SandraLee on Food Network that semi homemade is the best!

The only thing I bake any more are pies............appple, peach and blueberry when the fruits are in season. Have always meant to try my favorite, coconut cream, but have never done it.

I'd rather bake my own. It taste so much better and it show my family and friends I care. At Christmas I get orders from my family and friends as to what cookies they want me to make. I believe it ends up being cheaper because it is all eaten. Store bought sometimes go to waste because they don't like it.

I bake, usually. I have a tradition, an applesauce cake recipe of my own invention. I usually give out those and wassail that I make. I don't know if I will be able to this year. We just have no money. I am hoping that somehow a miracle will happen and we will be able to, but it doesn't look good--we can't even cover rent by the first....

I prefer to bake. It tastes so much better and it's more personal.

Sassy....go for it! Make that coconut cream pie and let us know how it turns out!!
