Cut down the tree on Friday, decorated the house inside and outside over the weekend, and finished the tree last night! With all the stuff we put up, for the past 10 years or so, we've started the day after Thanksgiving since it involves so much and that way we can enjoy everything longer and make all that work worthwhile.

Haven't done a thing. I don't have the spirit like I did when the kids were little.
I did the outside stuff last week (lights on one bush, bows on the shutters and a wreath on the door). Did most of the indoor stuff, this weekend I have my grands and they'll do the tree with me. And then we'll go cruising the neighborhoods for the best-decorated houses.
I just finished the icicle lights on my balcony today. I will probably get the inside decorated by the weekend.
Same here pauletta...the last couple of years I've not put up or out one christmasy thing.
I dont have room for a tree. I live in a little apartment.,.But I have every wall and end table covered with beautiful decorations.
I dragged all the Christmas decorations in from the storage area, put all of the outside stuff up, and managed to get the tree up last night, but have to figure out what I've plugged in wrong since I don't have lights lit on the upper two thirds of the tree! Hope to finish up the inside decorations tonight, even if I don't get the lights working on the tree - the apartment looks like a disaster area! Sometimes I wonder if it's worth the time and effort, but then I think, well, I really enjoy it once it's done, so ... I just wish it wasn't so much work!!
got a white one today with black and red ornaments and silver tree skirt and white lights. Kids are putting it up as we speak.
What a blessing to have children and grandchildren to help with the Christmas tree and decorating :)
My years and years of Christmas is waiting for me in the boxes in the garage. I did a lot of decorating in 2005, and since then I've felt no motivation to re-arrange furniture to accommodate the Christmas tree, and I couldn't find the outdoor lights! I will make a grand effort this weekend to do both, and make the season more joyous for everyone, including me :)
Haven't started yet. Will begin this week end.I had to give it up, (the tiny Christmas Bulbs and bright lights because of eye surgery) I did the tree bcause of grands and famiy visiting. I would sit in a positing not to see the lights. Last year and this yr. I'm back!!smile.I LOVE Christmas!
