She did this not just for Nick but for herself. The best defense is a good offense. In order for Nick to tell her his innermost thoughts about this and other things he may think might set her off is for Phyllis to do something like this to give Nick the message she's OK with this. She's still trying to control things between Nick and Sharon because she's still insecure about them. I believe she is glad they lost that baby. If that baby had lived, I don't think she'd be so understanding or thoughtful. I'm just waiting to see how Nick will react when he finds out Sharon and Adam hitting the sack. I'd like to see how Phyllis will respond to Nick's reaction to that!
I agree with gymratgirl on this. Phyllis never does anything that she doesn't benefit from. The day will come when she goes right back to her old jealous days. I don't trust her at all. What do the rest of you think of this 'selfless' act Phyllis did?
Come on you guys. Phyllis is not a monster. She would never be happy that anyone's baby died, including Nick and Sharon's. She was fully prepared to deal with the baby when it arrived. She is not the old Phyllis who did horrible things to get her way. She has a good heart and is a mother and she even made an attempt to comfort Sharon. I think she got that plaque for Nick to help him talk about the baby he lost. He has been holding in his feelings and she wanted to give him an opportunity to be where Faith's ashes were spread and to feel safe to grieve with her. That plaque will always be there and Sharon will be able to benefit from it too. She had changed her mind about it already today and wanted to tell Nick before Adam sent that e-mail and Nick found them in bed together! Oops!
