Windows Cannot Find error message

Complete Error Message:

Windows cannot find '&machine_id=ZZZ251061193767952CSMM' . Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

It comes up when I start up my Acer laptop, running with Vista. I ran AVG, as well as MalwareBytes, but nothing was found. A search using Google for solutions mostly tells me this error comes in many forms, but I don't see or understand what causes it, what it's related to, or how to fix it!

Can anyone offer up a resolution? This has been popping up for about a week now, and I just keep 'okaying' the message and wonder what harm that might be doing to my system . . .

I tried googling the string of characters, the entire sentence, and then only the stuff in the single quotes.

I came up empty on google each time. I didn't find anything.

What am I missing?

I also googled the entire message, but came up with a single page of links. Two links were to tech forums about server problems, but one link view link went to a Microsoft Support article. However, I don't understand the technical side of computing to know if this is relevant to what you are experiencing. The article talks about a discrepancy with the computer's time. Perhaps someone else can reveiw this article. Good luck.

FYI If they mentioned the time just check the date and time and make sure you have it set correctly that can mess up lots of stuff.

Type in Windows Cannot Find. If you use Google's suggest topics on your search, suggestions will start coming at CANNOT, or keep typing FIND to see more error descriptions.

This one might mean something to those of you who understand it!
