yes there i because even though oneis missing they really arent lost, they are with god, and their memory is in our hearts, and minds forever, and they are waiting on us, to join them, so whensomeone ask me i say i have 3 children 1 in heaven and 2 on earth, because afterall they belong to god he just loans them to us, but he never said how long, its just a nloan, god bless you daffodil. I always say I have 3 sons, depending on the person asking and why, I would explain 1 has passed .. someone casual, I would just say 3 and leave it at that.
It depends on who is asking but most of the time I say I have two daughters and a son who lives in heaven.
Sometimes I just say I have 2 daughters if I think the person really has no need to know or is just a casual acquaintance.
I agree sometimes it catches me off guard and I fumble for an answer.
Hi,
I would love to say, I reply with a resounding, "two daughters", but often I fumble, too. As the others have said, one is just not with us right now.
So I try to reply with "two daughters" and explain more if I feel the need to.

My loss is fresh....... so maybe that is why I answer this way, but I just can't imagine I will ever think of myself as the mom of any less than 3 girls. I am still Rachel's mom - she is still my daughter and will always be alive in my memory and heart. I guess I will always have a 21 year old daughter? God.......I don't know......everything is such a struggle.....sometimes I don't know how I'll make it through a day......I just can't bring myself to care what others think. I say I have 3 daughters - I can't bear to say less.
sorry
Yvette
It's always so good to know that you all rise to the occasion. I am with you all. Two boys! I needn't explain. Thanks so much for your replies.
