Too Many Dogs Have Escaped!

The reason for this post is that I think mockery and satire are extremely effective tools for attacking idiotic political ideas and agendas. We need to take every opportunity to confront the other side and, in my not so humble opinion, this is a good way to do it. Much more effective than dueling google, cut, and paste debates.

Our small town has a local web site for discussions and announcements. This weekend, two separate posts were made, asking for help in finding lost dogs in the area.

Being a bit of a smart ass (actually, I've been told that I am World Class) I couldn't resist posting the following message in the Debate Forum, where we have a wide spectrum of loons, nuts, and assorted miscreants. I can't wait for the responses.

BTW, Specter and Casey are our two communistic senators, Specter is the one that recently changed parties, although he was never really a republican. Or a man, for that matter.

"OMG! What is going on? We've seen at least two instances of dogs escaping this weekend and I want to know what the government is doing about it!

I implore the government to take these immediate steps:

- Investigate the causes of the escapes. Are they due to improper restraint methods, insufficient equipment, lack of owner training? We need answers, NOW! And regulations, with stiff penalties for non-compliance.

- Double the Dog Tax to fund research on proper dog restraint. Add a surcharge tax on the pure-bred breeds as their owners can obviously afford it.

- Levy a general tax increase on all citizens, even those that don't own dogs. They probably would own them, but fear that they may get loose. We need to make dog ownership available to ALL citizens.

- Form a Dog Restraint Commission and provide funds to every canine organization across the country to help stem this horrible blight. A Help Line and web site should be made available and advertised through mandatory Public Service Announcements, so that dog owners can learn proper restraint techniques.

If you can think of any other additional actions the government should take that would help this horrible situation, please post them. We need to act NOW!

We should probably get Specter and Casey involved due to their considerable skill and experience at butt sniffing. And I am sure that Reid and Pelosi would get on board, as I have heard many references to their ancestral ties to canines.

Get on board people! Yes We Can!"

Be sure to add health care as a dog's right with additional benefits for pups. And abortion!!! No dog should have to give birth to a litter she doesn't want even if she went prowling and had unprotected sex with mulitple partners. Hire those dogs lawyers to sue the owners for repressive conditions because why else would the poor canines have felt the need to flee.

My dogs resent being compared with Casey and Specter - Casey had disgraced his fathers name and disgraced the state - As you said, Specter was never a republican, but wore the mask for a long time. They keep running this ad on TV to write to Casey and thank them for supporting health care and cap and trade - my letter was not a thank you!
