Time seems to make our memories gentler. The way things were seems so much better than the way things are. My mother has been gone for 27 years, my father for 12, so Thanksgiving is always full of memories of them.
I always hope for balance: some memories of the past, mixed in with new things that happen and new memories that are made.

How nice it is to remember. Happy memories are great and those should only be the ones to remember. I keep working to remember my past but it's a slow process even though I think I'm getting there slowly, my old friends are also giving me that push and I'm glad they still are around to do it.
Seems you enjoyed your Thanksgiving Ron remembering the past. It's so nice to have Happy days like that.
That's nice, Ron. I remember my brother and I were both kicked out of the house, at different times, for dope. And when I'd gotten married the first time he had dinner with my wife and I on Thanksgiving and slept on our couch, where he stayed. Thanks for bringing back some memories to me, too. Glad you could spend time with your family and keep up the good work at the food bank, brother.
Memories are the glue that holds our lives together. Some good, some not so good. I'm glad you had the chance to share a meal and share memories with your family.
Another good memory made.
