Are you a Morning Person?

Do you wake up bright and early, full of energy and ready to jump up and meet the day? Does you energy peak then or later in the day?

I'm not a morning person at all. I wish I was but my bodyclock doesn't work that way. I enjoy sleeping very late and staying up very late at night. I am my most productive in the evening hours. I do most of my cooking and cleaning then.

I think I sould have been born on the west coast, my body functions best on Pacific time.

Mornings are for dreaming.........and enjoying nature. I generally get functioning about 11 or 12 noon, and stay busy until midnite. Definately not a morning person! Had a daughter who woke early in the morning and was so very cheerful at that hour.....could never understand how one could be singing and cheerful before noon !

I am not a morning person but can function with a few cups of coffee, I can burn the midnight oil so I guess I am a night owl. It is important to find a mate that is compatible or you will always be on the opposite track LOL.

I do the morning thing. I wake up early and am ready to go. As the day progresses I get slower and less willing to work hard unless there is some deadline. Then I get very productive again for a while. However I still am somewhat active late into the night.

No No No - Not a morning person!! My late husband was a morning person - talk about opposites attracting. He went to bed very early (8:30 or 9) and I made it to bed around 1 or 2am. Then, like all dedicated morning people, he arose bright, early and cheerful (groan)

Until I retired, I had to get up early to be at work by 6:45 a.m. My most productive time of day (or night) is from 8pm until around 2 am. Fortunately, my part time job is from 4pm till 9 pm. A much better schedule for my inner clock!

Definately a night owl. I am surprised at so many others who sleep late here. My brother and sister are both early birds and think it is soooo strange that I can sleep till noon! Sorry guys, thats just me the youngest one. For years I had to be up so early for school, then for work and getting my son up (his dad was not an early person atl all so I had to try to get him up too). Now I work second shift and love it - can sleep late and have a good excuse.

I like to go to bed about midnight (or 1:00) and get up about 9:00. I have never been a morning person. And now that I have no thyroid, I have to sort of force myself out of bed no matter how well I've slept, go take that morning dose of Synthroid, and wait a bit for it to sort of activate my system. It's weird....I can feel it working. So those days of stretching and waking up leisurely and getting up when I like it are not so much gone as amended to....get up, take that pill, and then go back to bed if you like and start your day soon after.
