If 2 amateurs could get past the Secret Service and gain access to the White House and shake hands with the President of the USA, that does not speak very well for national security. Terrorists could have gained access and attacked the President or other dignitaries with biological agents or other devices even if firearms would not pass security.

This must be Bush's fault...the security procedures in place were set up by Bush's administration, Obama just inherited these procedures.

I understand that the party crashers did it as a publicity stunt to get on a tv show or something.
Sounds like a couple of real obnoxious, bold, brassy, narsistic, name dropping pigs that were like -Yeah barrack & us go way back......
This is only a drill (electric drill sound).
Nothing like putting the fear of God in people.
They actually did obama a favor, by exposing a weakness in his security detail.

These are long time buddies of Hussein and likely not party crashers. He was associated with these people through their mutual friend Rashid Khalid, the Palestinian activist that was at the center of that controversy last year where 0bama attended that PLO fund raiser in LA put on by Khalid - and spoke at - but the media (particularly the LA Times) covered but refused to run because it was so damaging to 0bama. The Khalid connection is in the second link. You have to scroll half way down the page. Apparently, they attended with a film crew from that reality show, too.

I do hope these people are detained and questioned and then thrown in a holding cell until they can be officially charged. These self proclaimed "in crowd people" make me sick. I do not want them to get away with it.
Can you imagine the outcry if the people who crashed the party were found to be conservatives - it would be the biggest scandal of the century and be part of a conspiracy. These people are supposedly getting a $6M payoff. IMHO it is important to prosecute these people to the fullest extent of the law and expose who was responsible for the screw up - my guess it will come back to some White House insider and not the SS. If this is not done, the next time it happens the results might not be so friendly to the President and his life is in danger. I am not a fan of the President, but there are acceptable ways to get him out of office - harm is not on the list.
