Good morning, Nancy and everybody! How are you all? Are you back to a normal schedule? Bugman, I'm wondering when you're traveling.

We sure had a houseful yesterday for a while. I get anxious about entertaining, since I live pretty much in the moment and am not good about planning. One thing we need is a longer table. I can see the expressions on people when they find out they have to sit at the "kids' table," the card table off to the side. Everything else went okay, though.

Paul and Amanda are here and I don't know what will be happening today. They had hoped to go out last night and found out none of their Anchorage friends was available. I was happy to spend more time with them. This morning they're going snowshoeing. I'll get exercise somehow, too, and then do some housework and get things back to normal.

It sounds like you are having a wonderful holiday , Valley. We went to friends for Thanksgiving and had a great time. They enjoyed the pie and goodies that we brought and everybody was very warm and welcoming. We almost felt like they were our family and they were so much fun. The laughter was high and the time wonderful. Now it's back to normal and David is home with a bad cold.
I pray that I don't get it. The chicken stock is ready!!!! Have a great weekend.

We are still in WI, but are beginning to wind down. Today we are having a late lunch with my sister-in-law. Sunday service at the rural church I grew up in tomorrow and a last get-together with my family. Monday we check out of the hotel and head toward Madison to spend and afternoon and night with friends. Our flight leaves Madison at 8:00 Tuesday morning and we will be home mid-afternoon.

We have had a wonderful time, but both of us are beginning to feel ready to go home.

My wife is either having an allergic reaction to a Christmas tree or possibly is coming down with a cold. I hope it's allergy.

I'm glad to know you're having good holiday experiences, Annie and bugman--well, except for the colds!

Bruce and I went hiking in the mountains with the "kids" this afternoon--a vigorous hike! I'll post a photo here of me and the kids up there.
