Bpneless Delicious Piece of Ham

I put this small piece of ham in an unxcovered pyrex dish in the oven:

Before I just sliced the top a bit
stuck small pieces of ginger on top
covered the top with dark brown sugar
then poured half a can of crushed pineapple on....

It was moist and totally delicious!

Please don't ask me how long it was in there....???
I had something else in the oven that needed to be at 450

I got on the computer and forgot about them until a few Senior Moments passed....By then everything was bubbling up !!!! But nothing burned......

Sounds delicious. We usually have ham on New Year's Day. I cross-score the top of the ham, stick a clove in each diamond shape, place pineapple on top then pour a yellow mustard/brown sugar glaze on it.

Sounds good. Never thought of the ginger. We usually have ham on Christmas.

The ginger sounds like a really good idea to me, too. I used to do a large ham by mixing a touch of dry mustard with brown sugar and a little flour, spreading it on top about 1/2 hour before it was done, then pouring a can of gingerale over it to baste and glaze. But I like the idea of the fresh ginger pieces--more ginger flavor.
