Something Disturbing

75% of doctors refuse any chemo therapy because of its ineffectiveness against the disease and its devastating effects on the entire human organism . And its not small percentages either, 75% !
So this begs the question what are we doing taking this treatment and why is it that the treatment is being given in the first place? We won’t even get on the one as to who is telling the truth? You know that doctors are like Gods and if we are to trust them we have to believe them. How is that possible when they can’t seem to agree on a certain type of treatment. The majority do not believe in a treatment that has become standard in most hospitals. So what gives, what is the story? I just finished my chemo and I run across this article! That is exactly what I needed to make my day!!! So are they saying that 75% of the patients are being used for experimentation, pharmaceutical testing or what? The numbers are scary and give grounds for concern. Who are we to believe?

You can check out my blog for the whole story. view link

Hmmm .... I do not know anything about e-clinik, but this is all contrary to what I found when I had to make decisions. We all know that chemo is rough and does a number on the human body... no doubt about that. However, at least in my case, I decided the potential long term benefits outweighed the interim "cost." Of course, this was a real academic exercise because as we all know, no one has any idea what chemo is all about until you do it.

The article is certainly a perspective, but I am not ready to buy into it...

I did a google search for "e-clinik" and found the linked pages to be from an individual's blog. I further followed the links and found this to be a promotion of a book by Ty Bollinger. A google search of Ty Bollinger led to several books on "alternative" treatments for several diseases, including cancers. Some referred to this as a scam.

Bottom line is that "e-clinik" does not appear to me to be a treatment facility but a bloggers name. It is slick, but nothing more than what any of us could put together given enough time and money.

While my mind is always open to thinking outside the box, I couldn't find anything about this to get excited about.

Thanks a million Bill for the info. That people should be able to publish stuff like this should be a crime. I checked it out too and found many dubious points. What I was not able to find was a link to the 75% statement. That was highly suspicious since I am always able to find such a link.

i wouldn't be here had i not had chemo. inflammatory breast cancer is so agressive disturbing it would have spread it like crazy. i hope the guy publishing this crap doesn't ever have to face an agressive cancer and please, God, let anybody who reads his stuff do their homework. sometimes freedom of speech is a scary thing.

One of the things I love about groups like this is how we band together to get to the truth in support of each other. Bravo all of you and thank you so much for jumping in with both feet, Bill. You guys just rock!

I have always viewed the Internet as a source of info kinda like the Clint Eastwood movie "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly." There is a lot of good but the bad and ugly exist as well. Thanks for tracking this down Bill.

With cancer like all illnesses, the patient still has to make DECISIONS. Doctors after all are not magicians and unless they are quacks never promise only great outcomes (in fact they are often chided for stating unadorned statistics).

I opted not only for chemo and radiation but another year of clinical trials. It was solely my decision.

I am still alive ten years later, and of course, I would like to think the treatments have something to do with it. The clinical trials did show Herceptin to be immensely helpful and I was lucky enough to be in the group taking the actual drug.

My son was diagnosed with testicular cancer last spring at the age of 25. He opted for very aggressive chemotherapy therapy so he could start his PhD program. I guess having something to suffer for helps ! He does go through regular testing and he has started his second year of school.
