Every major interest group and major industry has lobbyists in Washington! I think the taxpayers of this country need a few lobbyists too. Maybe our elected officials will pay a little attention to us then.

Very sad to say, that is a great idea!!! Sad because they should be listening to us no matter what the lobbyists say - but they don't.

If I'm not mistaken our current president ran under the stand that lobbyists would be a thing of the past....was I dreaming? If so, don't wake me.!

Money talks, nobody walks! The recent reports on women screening was influenced by the insurance lobbyists or I.m a monkey's uncle. I can't be because my bad shoulder won't let me swing from branch to branch! You can blame Obama, and he'd probably accept the blame (great man that he is) but this crap has been going on for eons!

I agree with you that we need fewer lobbyists...like we need zero.

I personally think that the mammogram and pap smear limitations that were announced last week were the work of Obama's team. And as usual they are wrong.....fatally so. But then it's just a sign of things to come should a National health care plan be forced upon us. Who knows what other faulty and fatal guidelines they plan to propose? In Obama's beedy little brain, women are expendable. Doesn't that just warm the cockles of your heart?

If that had been the work of the insurance industry, it would have been policy before now and it hasn't been.
