There's nothing in this world that fries chicken or makes cornbread better than an old cast-iron skillet. I have 3 passed down from my grandma & they are a prize. Thinkin' of havin' them buried with me...
I hover somewhere on the scale between low-tech and no-tech . I avoid whenever possible buying gadgets with lots of bells and whistles . I don't need a phone that takes pictures , cooks breakfast , bathes the dog , and picks the kids up from school . One that allows me to make and receive phone calls will do nicely .

I might go for a phone that bathes the the dog....otherwise, I'm just a make and recieve phone calls kind of person myself. I have learned about text messaging because that's how my kids contact me on the phone; but it's not my preferred method of communication.
Also, internet greetings can't hold a candle to spending time at Hallmark picking out just the right card for a friend's/relative's occasion, enclosing a special hand-written note, and mailing it to them to hold and keep and treasure if they want. Besides, internet greetings can't hold a check to your kid or grandkid, either!
