My way is all Christmas all the time, starting right after Thanksgiving day. My Snow Village is already up, and the rest will follow very soon- huge tree, tons of Santas, snowmen, big Nativity on the mantle, every ornament we've ever owned still on the tree (except the ones my older daughter took home for her own tree when she got married), art on the walls in the dining room covered with wrapping present to look like presents... But I will admit that some of the truly tacky decorations from when my kids were really little have gone on to greener pastures!
With our daughter out of the house, we do just a little decorating. We put up a table top artificial tree and small decorations. We make it simple. Outside I set up those blowup decorations. Very simple. I have 3 of them. Just bought Snoopy because Santa Claus finally gave out. Nothing real big.
