Somewhere Out There
I was sipping from my half-full cup at the mall café
When you made a hasty retreat
And crossed my path
But late I was
It was your blurred vague behind
That waddled in the distance as I stared.
You seemed to dance towards me
At the park
But the magic cloud dimmed my eyes
And you were gone
You glided on the red pony
Going merrily round and round
Yet when it stopped
The red pony stood bare
Looking me straight in the eyes
I am sure you beckoned to me
To change my walking path
And meet you by the beach
There I saw your footprints in the sand
With haste I jogged for once in my life
But the wind took them
As I went by
They were no more to be seen
My moon friend whispered your name
So I chose an off-the-shoulder
And left for hunting in the night
From town to town
The deacon told me
You just knelt to pray
Then left for Nowhere
I have resumed my search
But will not say where
I know that you are
Somewhere out there
It’s just that
I haven‘t met you yet.
It is better for two stars
To pass by each other
Than to collide
When you made a hasty retreat
And crossed my path
But late I was
It was your blurred vague behind
That waddled in the distance as I stared.
You seemed to dance towards me
At the park
But the magic cloud dimmed my eyes
And you were gone
You glided on the red pony
Going merrily round and round
Yet when it stopped

Looking me straight in the eyes
I am sure you beckoned to me

And meet you by the beach
There I saw your footprints in the sand
With haste I jogged for once in my life
