November 24th

Well, my teeth are all cleaned, x-rayed and checked. Yes! Glad that is over. No problems, which is even better news. Oh, I even was able to get a badly needed hair cut or trim. Techie is supposed to take me shopping today for my birthday gift. Oh, my cup runneth over.

I want to warn everyone about something that I saw on the news last night. There is a device which can be purchased on the internet that can "steal" your information from you credit cards and/or passport. The device just has to be run close to the wallet or handbag and it picks up the info from the magnetic strip. I think most of the time we would notice someone that close to us; UNLESS, we are in a crowd such as at an airport or entertainment event. Men who keep their wallets in their back pockets are probably the most likely to be a victim. Now, there is a way to prevent it and one very wise, and now probably wealthy man, has become up with this envelope (for lack of a better word) that a person can use, and it the passport or cards are slipped into the device can not read the magnetic strip. Aren't the "bad" guys just always coming up with things to make our lives more difficult.

Thanks to all who have posted to the Thanksgiving memories thread. I do hope others will as well. I think it is very interesting to read the memories of others as well as the traditions.

I voted for Donnie last night. I loved his performances on DWTS last night. He may not be as technically good as Mya, but he is so much more fun to watch. That should be worth the prize.

I hope that the remainder of your day is great.

Banks of Europe are beginning to exchange credit cards Visa and MasterCard, for fear of possible leaks of information about their accounts. Incident connected with the theft of one of the suppliers of banking services in Spain data on the accounts. I do not believe in safety of credit cards and prefer cash when traveling, although it is not convenient too.

William F. Buckley always reminded me of someone with a rod stuck up thier . . . back. Being nice here, LOL.
I don't have any credit cards, but would imagine debit cards are as vulnerable. Wouldn't take someone very long to clean out my account.
Yes, the world seems to be filled with nefarious people.
I'm not feeling up-to-par today. [another saying] May be catching the grandson's malady.
Tuesday greetings to all.

Glad you had a good checkup and had no problems. You are so brave, unlike me. Hope you get something very special, from your husband, tonight.
Hope you are feeling better now, GG I hate that feeling, when you don't feel like quite yourself. Sure
hope it doesn't get any worse and goes away over night.

Thanks, funforlee! I'm still draggin' a bit, but I made it to the chiropractor and had breakfast with a girlfriend, this morning.

I didn't know this was Teddy Wilson's birthday. When I was quite young, I wanted to grow up enough to study jazz piano with him...

GG, I agree with you about WF Buckley...

Have a lovely Today, everyone. Turkey Day is coming! (and I have so much to be grateful/thankful for!)

P.S. Wouldn't it be something if all these conniving geeks put their intellect into developing something beneficial to us all?
