How Bizarre!

What's the most digusting thing you ever ate or drank - either intentionally or unintentionally?

I'm very careful about what I put in my mouth, because I'm kind of picky, so I think the worst thing I've ever had to swallow was Triaminic cough syrup that said, "Pleasant-tasting" on the label. It tasted so bad it made me throw up. I should have sued for false advertising. Robitussin, I can handle. Delsym, I can handle. Even the store brands, I can handle. But that Triaminic did me in. I never bought it for me or my kids again.

I had a friend who grabbed what she thought was her daughter's water bottle to drink out of one day. She took a big gulp, and turned to her mom and said, "There's something wrong with this water." Her mom said, "Oh, Angela, that's the water I use to water my houseplants. I get it from the rainbarrel outside. It usually has mosquito-larvae in it." She threw up, too.

My mom once talked me into trying the raw fish in white wine she was eating..she was eating it like candy and swore that i would love it too....i first of all said i dont like raw fish...she said but its not like raw fish at all cuz its pickled in this wine....so i finally tried it and as soon as it hit my tongue i ran for the kitchen to spit it out and nearly threw up to boot! I came back and was still gagging and mom thought that was just the funniest thing...i wasnt amused and told her she was just plain sick!
Tried fried oysters once....also made me gag and nearly throw up. I just cannot understand how people can eat that stuff!

Whale blubber, called muktuk, and very high quality, according to the Eskimo who handed it to me. No taste at all, but it wouldn't go down--like chewing on a rubberband.

Lutefisk.... though I have tried some that was better than others, no amount of melted butter or cream sauce can make it palatable. But I'm not Norwegian, but truthfully none of my friends that are of Norwegian extraction like it either. I think you have to be an old Norwegian.

Oysters, though...I love them, raw or cooked.

bear wiennies==I was at a friends home, spending a couple days with them.
I was taught to eat what was served and NO complaining. The man was a bear hunter/hunter of everything actually, and they served bear meat made into wienners...I choked a little bit down..but have never had any again. I WON'T eat a raw oyster, but love fried ones..yummmm
