Gunny, Ruger, Colter, Sarge, Tristan, Silvo, Cazzie, Pi.
Nina ( little girl child in Spanish I believe) Unable to put the little mark over the letter. so it is pronounced correctly. I consider her my little girl. WE look alike - short legs and round in the middle. LOL
Of cource my chest and tummy doesn't nearly drag the ground. OOP's don't picture that.
TQ is short for Taquito, because I thought he looked like one when he was a baby. His mom's name is Scarlet and his friend's name is Shakira. I plan on one day having two more dachshunds and naming them Edward and Bella.
Schatzie (German sweetheart)
Rose - she's my rescue and was already named
Mr Beaudreaux , because he came from a breeder in south Louisiana.
Lady Thibadaux ( Tib A Doe ) because her husband has a cajun name , she needs one as well .
Mine all have German names ( a tradition that started with my Mom) ; Gradel, Luzi, Faxon, Vala, Oliver, and Silke.
Yes, I adopted two of my rescues. I really have to stop now, before I get in trouble with the town board!
We have Sadie Rambo (she lives up to her middle name)
and Gracie Shyann (she also lives up to her middle name)
When I was a kid we had a standard boy Doxie (Jessie B. was a mini) & he was really very good with us kids doing kid stuff to him. Dressing him up & such stuff. Anyway, my dad named him Hermann von Metzel. Who knows why, a name fit for a nobel German dog I guess. My aunt named her doxie Heidi, which she thought was very German & we teased her no end that everybody knew Heidi was Swiss. She used to get so mad. NEVER tease a dachshund owner about anything regarding their dog!
My husband wants to name a new Doxie Weinie Marie.
