Fre TV Programs Sites

At the lakes I have trouble getting TV reception except for 1 PBS station which will not be available next year. I would like to be able to go to a free site that has TV station programs which I can download to a disc on my computer so that I may watch them next year at the lakes. Where do I find a site and how do I do it?

be better to record them from, live tv, with a vcr, or dvd recorder.

there are a few free tv sites, but they won't be for long, hulu said it is going to start charging and i imagine the rest will follow.
