War, Inc.

view link John Cusack plays a reluctant assassin who drinks hot sauce ("I have to give up smoting.") He has a "strange" attraction to a reluctant bride, Hilary Duff, and a more conventional attraction to a liberal reporter whose politics he despises, (Marisa Tomei). AND he is kept on track with his assignment by his able assistant Joan Cusack. Meanwhile he gets his marching orders from former VP, Dan Aykroyd, while the VP is taking a dump and Cusack is playing computer solataire..

Ben Kingsley is the bad guy with a not so bad southern accent.

And Montel Williams, as the voice of Guidestar, gives him advice for geographic and emotional directions.

With such a star studded cast, you would assume the movie would be good. It is not! It is political satire mixed in with an action movie farce and it fails big time. A few good scenes and a few good lines, but in general, a terrible movie experience.

"Grosse Point Blank" therapy view link The same theme but without the political satire. That time it worked!

I'm a John Cussack fan so I watched this just for that reason. It was more of a political statement than entertainment. Weird little movie but I still enjoyed it. I agree with you that Grosse Point Blank was better. Martian Child was one of the best Cussack movies I have seen. Of course I loved Must Love Dogs too.

I agree I watched War inc expecting it to be good. It was awful. I greatly enjoyed Grosse Point Blank. I thought Must Love Dogs was so so. I have not seen Martian Child. Was it sad, or ended up happy? I had saw the previews and it lookeed okay so was hoping someone could say how it was?
