Soggy Tuesday

Rained most of the night and is now sort of a drizzle and cold making it a raw morning. I don't envy anyone who has to work outside today.

PT went just fine yesterday. Only one more this week because of Thanksgiving. Monday I get evaluated again. I'm guessing that I'll be doing at least another 4 weeks. Hard to see any major changes. Maybe they just come slowly or keep developing after the formal program but with continued exercise. Have to check out gyms in the area to see what they offer in terma of equipment.

Big deal this morning....have to get two new tires for the wagon. Both in front so we're ready for the snow. Finally got a "plower" who will also shovel. He'll come after 2 inches have fallen. Under that and we're on our own. Unfortunately I don't think I can operate our snowblower. Too much pushing and pulling. (It's hell getting older) Going to try to start it later today if the rain stops.

Joanne's at the table and I think I'll join her for a cup. Hope you all have a good day and a great Thanksgiving. Talk soon, John

Good morning, John....It does sound like an "ugly day" for you there weather-wise! We're at 52 this AM with mid-50s for the high, so not much change....rain is on the horizon and may last into the evening, but clearing and cooler tomorrow...

I too need to get into some sort of exercise program...our school has a small weight room, so I may begin there after Thanksgiving and then add the tredmill we have at home (only one daughter uses it regularly, but we "had to have it")....I hope you begin to see some benefits from the PT program, but maybe they're just subtle and slow in nature?! Hang in there at least a while more.....glad you found someone for the future snows, not a task you should be doing at this point....

Well, have a good one and I'll visit you tomorrow....if not, have a nice Thanksgiving!!

It's dreary here, too, with maybe another 1/2 inch of snow overnight--just very cloudy, but supposed to be fairly decent on Thanksgiving.

Keep going with the PT and continued exercise program, it can only help your well-being. My only health issues are hypertension and high cholesterol, but exercise has improved both of them, I'm happy to say.

I'm wondering what nature has in store in the way of snow this winter. I sure shovelled plenty last season.

Good Evening John. When I think back on my years in New England,I always remember November as a "grey month". The leaveshave all fallen and the trees are bare, its ofte cloudy, and grown quite cold, but not much yet in the way of snow to soften and pretty things up.

Speaking of snow..glad you found someone to keep you plowed and shoveled out. Maybe you can find a neighborhood kid to snowblow the lighter stuff.

Hang in there with that PT..I think some benefits probably do come on graduall, but once they start you might start seeing some more rapid improvement.
While checking out gyms, you might want t look inro your local Y.I dont know how it is there, but my brother has a family membership at the one here. He has checked out others when they were making offers and trying to get new members, but always decides to stay with the Y. He says the Y has more "ordinary" folks--he doesnt feel like he 'stands out'.
